Top daily news

Global stocks are trading mostly higher currently after US stocks closed higher on Thursday following strong labor market report. Alphabet shares slumped 4.6% underperforming market on reports that Department of Justice (DOJ) asked a federal court to order Google to sell its widely used Chrome browser as well as to ban deals for Google to be the default search engine on smartphones and prevent it from exploiting its Android mobile operating system, Meta shares slid 0.4% on Thursday.

Forex news

The Dollar strengthening is intact today. The live dollar index data show the ICE US Dollar index, a measure of the dollar’s strength against a basket of six rival currencies, ended 0.4% higher on Thursday.

Both EUR/USD and GBP/USD accelerated their retreating yesterday while the Eurostat reported consumer confidence in euro zone declined in November. Both Pound and euro are lower against the dollar currently. USD/JPY reversed its advancing while AUD/USD reversed its sliding on Thursday with both the yen and Australian dollar lower against the Greenback currently.

Stock Market news

US stock index futures are rising currently ahead of Purchasing Managers' Indexes reports at 18:45 CET today with the yield on benchmark 10-year Treasury notes down at 4.412%. The three main stock benchmarks ended higher on Thursday recording daily gains in a range from 0.03% to 1.06%.

European indexes futures are advancing today after stock indexes closed higher yesterday with insurance shares leading gains. Asian stock indexes futures are mostly higher today with Hong Kong’s Hang Seng leading losses while data showed Japanese manufacturing activity shrank more than expected in November and services activity barely expanded during the month.

Commodity Market news

Brent is extending gains currently. Prices ended higher on Thursday on fears of supply disruptions in light of worsening tensions in the Russia-Ukraine war. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) futures rose 1.5% and are higher currently. Brent futures added 1.95% to $74.23 a barrel on Thursday.

Gold Market News

Gold is rising presently. Spot gold extended gains on Thursday: it rose 0.7% to $2669.44 an ounce.
