Global equity indexes are pointing in opposite directions currently after US stocks ended mixed on Monday following a selloff sparked by release of China's DeepSeek AI model. Nvidia shares sank 16.97% underperforming market, Apple shares rose 3.18%.

The Dollar weakening has reversed currently. The live dollar index data show the ICE US Dollar index, a measure of the dollar’s strength against a basket of six rival currencies, ended 0.1% lower on Monday.

GBP/USD ended marginally higher and EUR/USD reversed its climbing yesterday while the Ifo Institute reported German business sentiment has improved more than forecast. Both euro and Pound are lower against the dollar currently. US stock market ended mixed on Monday with the three main stock benchmarks recording daily returns in the range from -3.04% to 0.67% following a selloff in tech sector after the release of a low-cost Chinese artificial intelligence model by the startup DeepSeek.

European stock indexes futures are mixed currently after indexes closed lower on Monday led by tech shares. Asian indexes futures are mixed today with Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index leading losses with markets in China closed for the Lunar New Year holiday the rest of the week.

Commodity Market news

Brent is up currently. Oil prices ended lower yesterday. US West Texas Intermediate WTI fell 2.0% but are higher currently . Brent slid 1.8% to $77.08 a barrel on Monday.

Gold Market News

Gold prices are extending losses currently . Spot gold reversed its rising yesterday: the price fell 1.09% to $2740.65 an ounce on Monday.
